TASER Color: The TASER X26 is available in Black, Yellow and Clear (when available). You may specify your color choice in the "Special Instructions" section that appears after entering your credit card number. If you do not specify, we will ship Black.
DPM Digital Power Magazine Battery: Do not remove the DPM until necessary, to replace it with a new battery, when the display shows 10% to 20% battery level. Apply sufficiant force to compress and load the new battery. The battery's foam gasket must be fully compressed into the handle with a snug fit. Verify that the battery release button is flush (not subsurface) with the handgrip. Wait for the display to finish the data upload before testing it. Do not remove the battery if "P" is displayed on the display. To test your TASER weapon, remove the cartridge to facilitate a one or two second spark test about once a month. In normal use with monthly testing it should last for 3 years or more.
Laser Sight and LED: We recommend that you leave the factory settings with both the Laser Sight and LED Flashlight turned on. The Laser Sight may not be visible to the subject, but the LED Light is highly visible as an obvious warning and deterrent. If either stops working, you may have pressed the small Illumination Selector Button on top that switches between Laser and Flashlight (LF), Laser Only (LO), Only Flashlight (OF) and Neither Laser Nor Flashlight (OO). CAUTION: Using pens or paper clips to press the Illumination Selector Button may damage it. Use only your finger to press the Illumination Selector Button.
